Obituary
Leroy Carlisle died Friday. His wife Frances Beverly Carlisle, died Friday Night as the result of an automobile accident. Mr. Carlisle was born in Brunswick County on February 27, 1938, a son William Layton Carlisle and Annie Bell Plott Carlisle. He was a retired electrician, a veteran of the US Navy, the NC National Guard, and a member of Shallotte Masonic Lodge #727, AF & AM. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Doreen Outlaw and Annie Ampero.
Mrs. Carlisle was born in Conway, SC, on August 1, 1935, a daughter Henry Malcolm Beverly and Juanita Frances Holmes Beverly. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Linda Sellers. She was a homemaker and for many years was employed at CATO.
They leave a legacy of great faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and genuine compassion and generosity toward others.
Surviving are their son, Leroy “Lee” Carlisle, Jr., (Dee) of Ash and daughter, Theresa Smith (Steve) of Little River, SC; a sister, Betty Jane Alford of Conway, SC; and two grandchildren, Joshua Steve Smith and Karmen Caroline Smith (Michael).
A funeral service honoring their lives will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, from Beach Assembly of God Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times from the Carlisle Residence, 2290 Whiteville Road, NW, Ash, NC. Burial will be in Griffin Cemetery with Mason Rites accorded for Mr. Carlisle.
