Obituary
Lillian Mae Hickman, 96 of Ash, NC died September 12, 2022.
She was born in Mt. Hope, WV on August 11, 1926 a daughter of the late George William Goins and Mary Ann Moss Goins. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Milton Hickman "T.M", Jr. and a granddaughter, Melissa Dawn Coates.
She was a lifetime member of the Calabash VFW Post #7288 and a great seamstress.
Surviving are her daughter, Judith “Judy” Coates-Carroll (Billy) of Conway, SC; sons, Tommy Hickman and Jimmy Hickman (Barbara) all of Calabash, NC; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; and her caregiver, Linda Robbins.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Andrews Chapel UMC officiated by the Reverend John Bracey, Reverend Billy Carroll and Reverend Phil Norris.
Interment will follow in the Whispering Pines Cemetery, Calabash, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at the funeral home.
