Mrs. Linda Andrus Hauser, born December 5, 1936, in Cleveland Ohio died February 19, 2026, at River Park Assisted Living Facility in South Carolina of natural causes.  She leaves two sons, Douglas Werner Smith and Chad Watson Smith.  In addition, she leaves two siblings Susan Jeffers and Charles Hauser along with cherished nieces and nephews.   

Mrs. Hauser earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Connecticut.  She worked briefly as a Social Worker in Hartford Connecticut and then married Francis R. Smith (deceased 2015) and was a mother and homemaker.  She was an avid environmental conservationist and enjoyed birding, herpetology, and horticulture.  She researched and documented her paternal and maternal genealogies.
