Obituary
Loretta Faye Moniger, 73, of Sanford, NC formerly of Shallotte, NC died May 8, 2017.
Born in Scotland County, NC on September 26, 1943 she was a daughter of the late Robert D. Norton, Sr. and Rachel Brown Norton.
Prior to her retirement she was very active in her surroundings. She had been employed as a cosmetologist, a nurses aide (CNA), an ordained minister. She had also been employed by Hardees, Walmart, and several sewing plants through the years.
Surviving are her sons, Tony Wayne Moniger (Cindy) of Newport, PA and Thomas Lane Moniger (Kim) of Sanford, NC; daughters, Cynthia Renee Love (Kenneth, Sr.) of Lugoff, SC and Leigh Ann Milliken (John) of Shallotte, NC; brother, Robert D. Norton, Jr. of Shallotte, NC; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service in Shallotte, NC. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association NC, 3739 National Drive, Suite 110, Raleigh, NC 27612 and/or the NC Baptist Association.
