Obituary
Louise S. Ashe, 83, of Ash, NC died peacefully in hospice care in Bolivia, NC, on March 5. She was preceded in death by her mother Maggie Schiefer of Indiana, PA and by her Aunt Evelyn Warren of Ash who raised her to the age of 15. At that time, she moved to Pennsylvania where she lived for the next 50 years, returning to her birth home to retire in later years and become an involved member of Shallotte Presbyterian Church, the Long Bay Garden Club and enjoying yard work at her home along with her three stocked fish ponds. She was also an avid bridge player and enjoyed slow dancing with companion, Clark Grosch – an integral part of her later life and happiness.
She is survived by son, Larry Ashe of Dallas, TX; daughter, Lisa Kapsak and husband Andy of Glen Allen, VA; grandsons, Ryan and Curtis; and Brother Charles Schiefer and wife Lynn of Indiana, PA. Special thanks to Cousin Barbara Russ and family of Shallotte for a lifetime of kinship and support.
Memorial service at Shallotte Presbyterian Church at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 26.
