Lula Mae Phelps, 88, of Supply died October 1, 2025. Born in Brunswick County, North Carolina, she was a daughter of Roy and Gertie Mae Smith Hughes and the widow of Bradia Warren Phelps, Jr.
Lula Mae devoted her life to her family often preparing tasty food that she grew in her garden. She cherished her friends, and her canine buddy, Sissy.
Surving are her sons, Warren Adam Phelps and Trent Eugene Phelps (Tracy); daughter, Cynthia Phelps Long; sister, Loretta Hughes Hewett (Danny); grandchildren, Leah Long and Josh Long; great grandchild, Destinee Stevenson; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hughes and Brenda Hughes; several nieces and nephews; and Dale Hewett, and Becca Hewett and children.
The family will receive friends from Mrs. Phelp’s home in Supply.
Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside by The Reverend Landis Lancaster in Silent Grove Cemetery, at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 6. 2025.
