Obituary
Mabel Lee S. Hewett, 89, Longwood, NC died Friday, April 21, 2017.
Born in Bladen County, NC on October 16, 1927. She was a daughter of the late William Corbett Smith and Elizabeth Bennett Smith.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Reverend J.D. Hewett and her step-mother Nita Long Smith.
She was a dedicated member of Longwood Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Surviving are her daughter Rhonda H. Lewis and husband Glenn; sisters Retha Ward and Ann White; grandsons, Glenn Kevin Lewis and Jeremy Derek Lewis; great-grandsons, River Lewis and Bryson Lewis.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday April 25, 2017 at 12:30 pm in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until service time at the funeral home.
