Obituary
Mack O‘Neil Stanley, 85, passed away on Tuesday Morning, November 7, 2017, at his home in Ocean Isle Beach. He was the last sibling of his parents the late Joseph Lewis and Isa Dora Harper Stanley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Lucille Stanley, and his son, Lewis Stanley. Mack was a devout Christian and enjoyed attending his church.
He spent his working years as a leverman on dredge boats. He enjoyed riding his motor cycle.
Surviving are his daughter, Gwen Baines and her husband, Richard of Ocean Isle Beach; three grandchildren, Richard O’Neil Baines, Tabitha Baines, and Blair Locklear; four great grandchildren; step-son, James Stewart and his wife Anne; and step-daughter Kathy Stancil.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 9, in the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte, by The Rev. Tim Carter. Burial will be in the Brooks Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, November 8, at the funeral home.
