Margie King Dew
Obituary
Heaven gained a very special angel this past Saturday morning. Marjorie King Dew of Ocean Isle Beach passed away on August 27, 2016. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 20 years, Wayne Dew, daughter Kathie Gilliam (Don), son Chris Smith (Mary) and brother, Billy Wayne King (Barbara). She was a loving mother to her children and a doting grandmother to grandchildren, Ashton Wade, Grayson Gilliam, Jadon Smith, and great-grandchild Karissa Godfrey. She was a special aunt to several nieces and a nephew and their children. She will be missed by her fur-baby, Oscar, who brought her joy this year. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ruth King, her sister, Brenda Simmons, and her son, Shawn Ingram.
Margie will be remembered as a beautiful woman both inside and out. It was an honor to be in her presence and a gift to call yourself her friend. When she loved someone, it was unconditional. She was kind and generous with a heart of gold. If someone did something wrong or hurtful, she was the first to offer forgiveness. She always knew just what to say to someone who needed advice or a shoulder to lean on. She had an amazing sense of humor and was eager to share a laugh. The world has lost some of its beauty and radiance in the passing of this remarkable woman. She will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Wednesday, August 31st in New Britton Baptist Church by the Rev. Jonathan Shelor and Rev. Steve Nobles. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Family will receive friends following the service in the sanctuary and other times from the home.
