Maria Josefa Goddard
Obituary
Maria Josefa Goddard, 98, was born on October 28, 1927, in Vienna, Austria, to Anton Dostal and Maria K. Dostal. She grew up in modest circumstances. At the age of twenty-seven, Maria left Austria to marry her great love, Frank E. Goddard, in America.
Maria and Frank had a very happy life and were both great animal lovers, often owning dogs. They traveled extensively, primarily on cruises. A regular trip for Maria, even after she became a widow, was her annual visit to Vienna for the “Mother's Day.” She always visited the graves of her parents and husband, which was very important for her and afterwards enjoyed Viennese Cuisine, which she really loved.
Maria loved spending time in Vienna with her cousin Hermine Winkelhofer, who passed away last August at the age of 96, and she loved going out for good meals with Hermine's children Ernst and Renate.
Rest in peace our Dear Maria.
