Marie Nancy Palen, age 77 of Carolina Shores, North Carolina, died Friday, September 1, 2017.
Marie was born on September 26, 1939 in Glen Cove, NY to Joseph and Maria Deriu. She married Edward Palen in Port Washington, NY on September 4, 1966. Marie worked for NY Telephone Company for 37 years. She and Edward retired and moved to Carolina Shores, North Carolina in 1995 where they have lived since.
Survivors include her husband Edward of Carolina Shores; one daughter, Stephanie (Steven) Hill and her two grandchildren, Brianna and Jonathon.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Sebastiano (Sam) Deriu and one sister, Giovanna (Joanne) Deriu.
A mass will be held on Thursday September 7, 2017 at St. Brendan’s Church in Shalotte, North Carolina.
