MARK WILSEY 

September 15, 1955 – June 14, 2025

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Mark Wilsey on June 14, 2025, at the age of 69. A devoted father, proud grandfather, loyal brother, and trusted friend, Mark was a force of nature whose absence leaves a hole that can't be filled.

Born on September 15, 1955, Mark was the son of Fred Smith Wilsey and Lucinda Evaline Hall Wilsey. He was raised with grit, humor, and strong values alongside his siblings: Greg Wilsey, Sue Wilsey Hansen, Brenda Wilsey Collier, and Linda Wilsey Kelly.

Mark made his mark—literally and figuratively—as a respected builder. He believed in hard work, straight talk, and fixing things the right way. Whether he was constructing something from the ground up or offering tough love advice around a fire, Mark was the kind of man you counted on—because he showed up. He was passionate about the outdoors, hunting, fishing, spending time with his oldest granddaughter, and making memories that turned into the stories people will now be telling for generations.

He was the proud father of Chelsea Wilsey, Mark Ryan Wilsey, and Nicole Wilsey, and he absolutely lit up around his grandchildren: Anthony James Wilsey, Kara Dawson Wilsey, Ariella Dawson Wilsey, and Olivia Wilsey, and Mark Ryan David Wilsey. His family was the center of his world, and he carried that love with strength and pride.

Mark lived life with blunt honesty, wild laughter, and a heart that beat loudest for the people he loved. He didn't sugarcoat the truth—but you always knew he had your back. And that kind of love is rare.

A private service will be held for close family and friends at Marks home on Sunday July 6th at 7pm.  Please reach out to his daughter, Chelsea Wilsey, for an invitation. All are invited, the family would just like a head count. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help the family maintain the home Mark worked so hard to build and protect.

He may be gone in body, but Mark Wilsey will forever live on in the stories, strength, and stubbornness he left behind.
