Obituary
Martha "Margaret" Morgan, age 84, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away on Saturday March 13, 2021 in Autumn Care of Shallotte.
She was born on December 16, 1936 in Cordele, GA the daughter of the late Malva Fletcher Bowen and Odessa F. Gilbert Bowen, also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Francis Morgan, a grandson, Matthew Stephens and a sister, Virginia Aman.
Mrs. Morgan was a veteran of the United States Navy, she volunteered when she was 21 years old. She was very adventurous, loved the mountains in Tennessee. A mother of 2 girls. Attended Southeastern Community College and graduated as a cosmetologist. She was a very trusting person, loved dancing, hiking and fiercely independent. She grew up in Florida and was named the “Most Talented” in High School.
Surviving are two daughters, Melody Mills Stephens and husband, Terry of Ocean Isle Beach and Suzanne Mills Leggett and husband, Chuck of Fuquay Varina, NC; a sister, Henrilea Harrison of Greely, CO; a granddaughter, Maggie Stephens McKenzie and husband, Shane; one great-grandchild, Avery Claire McKenzie.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel in memory of their Mother.
