Obituary
It is with the heaviest of hearts and deepest sorrow that the family of Martin J. “Marty” Moran IV, announce that Marty passed away suddenly at his home in Sunset Beach, NC on January 25, 2025, with Vicki by his side, at the age of 70.
Marty was born at Carswell AFB in Fort Worth, TX to Jean Landry Moran and Lt. Martin J. Moran, III DDS (deceased).
Marty grew up in Dumont and Oradell, NJ, graduated from St. Joseph’s Regional High School and then attended community college for a short time. He retired in 2020 after a long career at International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF). He was a dedicated company man.
Marty loved sports, particularly hockey, and played the game until he was 40 years old, at which time he traded in his hockey sticks for golf clubs. He passed his love for sports to his sons: Marty and Billy.
Second to the love for his family were his sports teams, the New York Rangers, New York Yankees and he was a long-suffering New York Jets fan as well.
Marty is survived by his wife Vicki (nee Chrzanowski) and his son Marty V and his partner Jessica; sisters: Ellen Barr, Pat Moran; brothers: Chris Moran (Maria); Rob Moran (Tammie); sisters-in-law: Chrys Hahn (Steve); Trish Ferrara (Pat); Ree Guarinello (Bobby) and brother-in-law Jeff Chrzanowski (Bridget) Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his son Billy.
Marty loved his family dearly, was a kind and gentle man. Consider yourself lucky if you knew him, we certainly do! He will be missed and loved forever.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church 251 Franklin Street Highstown, NJ 08520In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory are requested to: the Fire Department and EMS
