Obituary
Mary Benes, 85, of Calabash, NC died April 9, 2019.
She was born in New York City, NY on March 26, 1934, a daughter of the late Edward Ministeropino and Carmela Farruggio Ministeropino. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter Benes.
She was a retired medical assistant and was a member of the Calabash VFW Ladies Auxillary, having served as chaplain and publicity chairperson, and was a member of the Calabash American Legion.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Catalanotto, Calabash, NC; sons, Thomas W. Benes, Ocean Isle Beach, NC, Steven Benes (Denise), and James G. Benes, all of Long Island, NY; a siste,r Tina Chenicek, Long Island, NY; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 3:00 pm in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte, NC.
Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens, Shallotte, NC
