Mary Carolyn Harrison

Mary Carolyn Harrison, lovingly known as Carolyn, of Ash, North Carolina, peacefully passed away at Brunswick Novant Hospital on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Born on September 17, 1948, in Brunswick County, North Carolina, Carolyn was a lifelong resident of the area and spent the majority of her life in Ash, North Carolina.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Butch Harrison, in 2021, as well as her parents, Mary Aileen Long and Walter Randall McCumbee, and her two sisters, Lucille Gore and Bessie Ernestine Smith. She is survived by her son, William Bradley Lewis, and his spouse, Liz Tchou, who were a source of immense pride and joy.

Carolyn touched the lives of many as she brightened everyone’s day she came into contact with. She believed in doing everything 100%, including loving with her whole heart.

Carolyn’s early career was spent working for insurance agencies, where her dedication and professionalism shone. She later transitioned into a successful career as a top-notch nail technician, earning the respect and admiration of her clients and colleagues alike.

Carolyn was a talented and creative soul who found joy in crocheting, ceramics, and crafting intricate flowers from beads. Her handiwork brought beauty and warmth to the lives of those around her and will be cherished by all who were fortunate to receive her creations.

A private remembrance will be held by her family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to honor Carolyn’s memory make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/donate/

Carolyn’s loving presence and artistic touch will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
