Mary Jane Melnyk, 84, of Calabash, NC died March 31, 2021.
Born in Queens, NY on March 30, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Richard LeRoy Ryerson and Helena Margaret O’Reilly Ryerson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Philip Melnyk.
She was an active member of the Saltaire Community Group and of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are her husband, John Melnyk; son, Richard Melnyk (Susan), Sloatsburg, NY; daughters, Theresa McPeek (Keith), Ramsey, NJ, and Mary Porrazzo (Peter), Fairfield, CT; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 4:00 PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
