Obituary
Mary Lou Sutter, 91, of Sunset Beach, NC passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
Born on March 19, 1934, in Oskaloosa, KS, she was the daughter of the late Louis Tabbert and Florence Dick Tabbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Sutter, two sisters and one brother.
For many years, she ran an antique store in Wake Forest, NC. She loved baking, thrifting, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Tami Maher (son-in-law Tom), Lisa Gallagher (son-in-law Frank) and; grandchildren Tommy Maher, Steven Maher, Nick Gallagher, and Colin Gallagher; brothers, Gene Tabbert and Don Tabbert, and sister in-law Ruth Fleigh.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 3:00PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Shallotte Chapel. Inurnment will follow later in Seven Lakes, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mary Lou Sutter to St. Jude’s https://www.stjude.org/donate or 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
