Obituary
Maude Granniss Davis, 85 of Shallotte, NC formerly of Carolina Shores, NC died July 24, 2022.
She was born in New Haven, CT on October 4, 1936 she was a daughter of the late Percy Granniss and Amy Barnett Granniss. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Patricia G. Bryant.
She graduated from Hamden High School in Hamden, CT., Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT and Danbury State College in Danbury, CT. She held a Master’s degree and taught elementary music in Branford, CT for thirty five years. She was a resident of Westbrook, CT until moving to Carolina Shores in 2006.
Surviving are her sister, Joan Scharenbrock of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; brother-in-law, John Bryant (Suzy) of Shallotte, NC; nieces, Amy De Jongh (Glenn) of Knightdale, NC. Jennifer Bryant of Wilmington, NC, Evelyn Bryant of Charlotte, NC and Judith Mount (Doug) of Longmont, CO; great nephew, William Lampus and great nieces, Elizabeth De Jongh, Alexa De Jongh and Cathryn Lampus.
Service will be conducted from the graveside in St. James, The Fisherman Episcopal Church Cemetery on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 11:00 am.
