Michael David McCullough, MD

Michael David McCullough, MD, of Sunset Beach, NC died April 13, 2019.

He was born on March 16, 1956, a son of Marilyn M. McCullough and the late Dr. Gerald W. McCullough. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Garrett William McCullough.

He was a member of The Radiological Society of North America, The Board of Medical Examiners of the State of NC, The American Board of Radiology, and a proud member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. He was also an avid Oklahoma Sooner Fan.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, A.J. McCullough; son, Mason McCullough, Columbia, SC; daughters, Mackenzie McCullough Betchan (Colin), Burlington, NC and Monroe McCullough, Austin, TX; sisters, Debbie Luthey (Dean), Tulsa, OK, Tanya McCullough, Dallas, TX, Ann McCullough, Dallas, TX, and Kristi McCullough, Richmond, VA; nieces, Sarah Shepherd (Scott) and their children, Libby and Charlie Shepherd; Katie Shepherd (Greg) and their children, Caroline and Emily Shepherd; niece, Madison tenKate; and nephew, Jake tenKate.

Pallbearers are Jeff Niemeyer, Julian Springs, David Smith, Anthony Carr, Al Parker, Fred Lewis, Calvin Chandler, Glenn Humbert, Joey Galloway, Poli Barefoot, Larry Harrelson, John Black, Chris Smith, John Truesdale, Bobby Williamson, Morris Hale, and Orren Reedy.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on April 20, 2019 in Camp United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
