Obituary
Myrna Geraldine Clemmons Malinchalk, 89, Ocean Isle Beach, NC died on February 24, 2022.
Born in Wilmington, NC on January 3, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Vander Clemmons and Letha Todd Clemmons. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Malinchalk and her two children, Michael Malinchalk and Nadine Sadler; brothers, Floyd Clemmons and Cletis Clemmons; sister, Estaleen Hewett.
After graduating from Shallotte High School, she went to work for the FBI in Washington, DC. While there, she met the love of her life, Joe. Thanks to Joe’s Navy career, she spent the next several decades traveling the world and raising five children. Always showing her strength and unconditional love while taking on the role of a military wife and Mother, many times on her own but never alone. Her friends, like her memories, are from near and far. Her life was full, and she leaves a legacy of love and a lifetime of experiences for her family and those she met along the way. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Joseph Malinchalk, Supply, NC; daughters, Deborah Malinchalk, Supply, NC, Carol Phillips (Phil), Ocean Isle Beach, NC; a brother in her heart, Julian Britt; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Shallotte, NC, officiated by the Reverend Anthony Clemmons.
Entombment will be in Brunswick Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
