It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing, on October 6, 2021, of Nancy Baltjes Transue of Sunset Beach, NC, formerly of Glenmoore, PA and Willingboro, NJ.

Nancy was born in Paterson, NJ on July 15, 1937 to Jolle (Joe) Baltjes and Pietje (Nellie) Baltjes of Sussex County NJ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Peter Baltjes, and her dear son Rodney Leigh Transue.

Nancy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a fiercely loyal friend to many, an avid animal lover, and always approached life with a keen sense of humor.

A 1955 graduate of Newton High School in Newton, NJ, as a young woman, Nancy began her career working in the Sussex County Office of the Surrogate and later in executive secretary and office management roles while raising her three children in Willingboro, NJ where she lived for more than 50 years.  

Nancy is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Donna and Patrick Donnelly with whom she lived, her son, George William (Bill) Transue, Jr., her five grandchildren, Robin (William) Tridico, Devin (Alan) Ward, Taryn (Mark) Goodwin, Justin Transue and Lauren (Roscoe) Blinebury, and her five great-grandchildren, Sophie and Emma Tridico; Aidan and Ailey Ward; and McKenna Blinebury.

The family will hold a private remembrance celebration at a later date.
