Obituary
Nancy Louise Phelps, 86, of Supply, NC passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Born in Brunswick County, NC on September 1, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Luther Franklin Benton and Dorothy Elizabeth Fullwood Benton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Youvon Legrand "Pete" and siblings, Bobby Ray Benton, Betty Rabon, and Oree Howard.
She was a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nancy loved to eat cookies and crochet. She was a woman who loved deeply and was deeply loved.
Surviving are her son, Legrand Phelps (Cheryl), Supply, NC; daughters, Donna Gore (Pee-Wee), Ash, NC and Wendy Phelps, Supply, NC; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 3:00pm in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Silent Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends starting at 1:30pm at the church.
