Obituary
Patrica G. Beavers, affectionately known as “Grandpaddy”, age 82 died Monday, February 17, 2025, surrounded by her family at her home in Oak Island, NC. Patricia was born in Moore County NC on August 17,1942, to Robert Vesstel and Elsie Strother Puckett.
Patricia, who had a vibrant spirit and was known for her one-of-a-kind sense of humor passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love. Born with a wild spirit she shared a wonderful life with her late husband Walter, with whom she traveled the world, exploring new places and enjoying many adventures on the high seas.
Patricia had a unique gift of turning everyday moments into unforgettable celebrations for family and friends alike. She loved music, especially the Marshal Tucker Band “Fire On The Mountain” and Bad Company “Shooting Star” that certainly described her personality.
As we remember Patricia, we celebrate her adventurous spirit, her infectious personality, her love for the ocean, her family and Jesus Christ.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Patricia is survived by: her sons, Tracey and Brandon Galloway; her Grandchildren: Kaley, Parker, Mason, Jessica, Cameron and Bryson; Great Grandchildren: Mason Jr., Zoey, Jude and Ayla and her Brother: Rodger Puckett and his wife Janet.
A private family service is planned.
