Patricia “Trish” Ann MacLeod of Ocean Isle Beach, NC passed away on April 18, 2026, after a battle with lung cancer and other significant complications. She was previously a resident of Dracut, MA and prior to that of Windsor and Manchester, CT.

Trish was born in Concord, MA. While still young her family moved to Windsor, CT where she attended the Windsor public schools. She graduated from UNLV with a bachelor’s degree in social work. She then spent many years working as a social worker in the ER at Manchester Hospital. While still there, she earned a master’s degree in social work from UConn before transferring to Eastern Connecticut Health Network as a senior case manager. Toward the end of her career, she worked as a medical assistant in a private doctor’s office in Dracut, MA.

She is survived by her husband, John Medeiros, with whom she would have celebrated 20 years of marriage on May 25th of this year. She also leaves behind two stepdaughters, Gabrielle Medeiros of Dracut, MA and Tiffany Medeiros of Lowell, MA, as well as John’s numerous and cherished extended family members, including but not limited to José Carlos & Olga Jorge of Somerville, MA; Bryan & Maureen Medeiros of Center Barnstead, NH; Cris & Angel Reyes of Londonderry, NH; and Cathrina & Isaiah Meekins of North Billerica, MA.

Additionally, she is survived by two brother and their families: brother Michael MacLeod & his wife Laura of Enfield, CT; brother David MacLeod & his wife Susan of Charlestown, RI; niece Lauren MacLeod and her partner Adrian and their newborn daughter Ainsley of CT; nephew Ryan MacLeod and his wife Darcy and their two daughters, Olivia & Riley of CT; nephew Corey MacLeod of CT; nephew Christopher Whirty of MA.

Trish was close to five cousins and their families: cousin Anna Poehler-Rogoll & her husband Alfred “Fredi” Rogoll of Freiburg, German, cousin Jennifer Poehler & her husband Martin Butt of Bolinas, CA; cousin Sarah Stuedemann & her husband Dieter of Bad Nauheim, Germany; cousin Susan Poehler of Mainz, Germany; cousin Cathleen Poehler of Stukely-Sud, Quebec, Canada. Special cousins once removed are Nico Rogoll & his wife Franziska and their daughter Helene of Freiburg Germany; Hannah Sahr & her husband Jan and their son Maleo of Echzell, Germany; Loretta Poehler of Berlin, Germany.

John wishes to express his deep gratitude to his immediate neighbors and the broader Sunset Ridge community for their unwavering support during his grieving process.

A Celebration of Life will be held in North Carolina at a later date.
