Obituary
Paul Cooper Hong Jr., born June 16, 1953 to Janet Whitwell Hong and Paul Cooper Hong, and stepmother Barbara Emond Hong, passed away on December 24,2022. He was an accomplished singer/song writer, guitarist, husband and
father. He loved to sing about anything he saw along his path in life, including his wife, pets and children. Paul was an avid moviegoer, music lover and scotch drinker.
He is survived by his wife, Diana, of 42 years, daughter Courtney and husband Jacob Ausfahl, grandson Benjamin Cooper and granddaughter Charlotte Marlena, son Bryan Paul and wife Gema Hong, granddaughter Emma Rose and grandson Seth Paul, along with many other family members and friends. Paul bravely fought cancer for over 40 years with many other accompanying health issues along the way. He battled daily with dignity and self awareness, always trying to get to the other side of his disease. Paul graduated from Bentley College in 1981 with a BS in Accounting and won first place in their annual talent show in 1980 and 1981 for performing his own original songs on guitar. He went on to complete a MS in Information Systems from Stevens Institute in 2002. He worked for ADP for almost 30 years as a software engineer and project manager.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Southport/Oak Island Chapel.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
