Obituary
Judson Williamson, Jr., 82, of Whiteville passed away Saturday, September 30, 2018 at Columbus County Hospital. He was a son of the late Paul Judson Williamson and Grey Powell Williamson. He was also preceded in death by two siblings, a brother, Jule Williamson, sister, Becky Williamson Murray; two nephews, Clint Williamson and Jeffrey Williamson.
Survivors include one son, Jay Williamson, two nieces, Grey Murray Memory (Joe) and Tiffa Murray Batten (David); three nephews, Gibson Murray, Jule Williamson
and Judson Williamson; sister-in-law, Marie Williamson, plus many great nieces and nephews.
Even in illness, Paul was a happy, upbeat positive person. He had many friends and was known for helping people. He was an avid golfer, having won many tournaments. His various careers in sales included selling golf equipment, and he held several patents on golf equipment he had invented. For several years he owned a popular barbecue restaurant in downtown Whiteville called PJ’s Q. Friends will remember him as a great dancer and for his wonderful singing voice who often sang at weddings in his younger years.
A memorial service to honor Paul’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, October 9, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte.
