Paul Roul Gore, 95, of Ash, NC died Sunday, October 1, 2023.
Born in Columbus County, NC on September 18, 1928, he was a son of the late Vanderbilt Gore and Mary Ella Gore Gore. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Phyllis Milligan Gore, daughter Marilyn Pittman and grand-daughters Amber Gore and Rachel Parker, and eleven siblings.
Surviving are sons Ernie Gore (Monica), of Ash, NC, Timothy "Timmy" Gore, of Shallotte, NC and Mark Gore (Gina), of Shallotte, NC; daughter Nicole King (Randy), of Ash, NC; grandchildren Garrett Gore (Carrie), Aaron Gore (Libby), Stephanie McCumbee (David), Hanna Maroney (Jarad), Brooke Gore (James), Evan Gore (Ashley), Emily Kelly (David), Edmund Gore (Zazie), Taylor Parker (Tessa) and Dawson King; twenty-seven great grand-children, five great-great grand-children, and a sister Shelby Lenton, of Thorntown, IN.
Mr. Paul was a retired US Army veteran, and from Brunswick County Department of Maintenance.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:00am in Zion Baptist Church. A burial will follow in the Griffin Cemetery, Ash, NC with military honors.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be grandsons Garrett Gore, Aaron Gore, Evan Gore, Edmund Gore, Taylor Parker and Dawson King.
