Obituary
Pinckney Josiah “Pink” Lucas, III, 82, of Ash died March 10, 2024. A Walterboro, South Carolina Native, he studied horticulture at Clemson University. Pink proudly served his country in the US Army as a military policeman and later as a Helicopter Pilot in Viet Nam. After serving in the military, he was employed by the Postal Service until retirement. He was grateful to share his life with Sharon, his wife of more than thirty years. In addition to being a patriot, Pink was a devoted husband, an avid fisherman, and a lover of animals.
Surviving in addition to his wife Sharon Ann Hines Lucas is his son, Eric Lucas; step-son, Paul Wayland Benton (Jan); step-daughter, Wendy Winston (Gary); brother, Charles Lucas (Cindy) sister, Katherine Miller (Jack); adored grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2:00 PM, March 23, 2024 at Old Zion Wesleyan Church, 10144 Swap Fox Highway, Tabor City, North Carolina. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
