Obituary
Priscilla Lane Hewett Tyree, 77, of Ash died December 8, 2021. She was born in Brunswick County, NC, on January 19, 1944, a daughter of Henry Leon Hewett and Daisy Alene Somersett Hewett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Leon Tyree, and her husband, David Lee Tyree.
She was a l962 graduate of Shallotte High School and a Bank of America Retiree. She was an active member of Soldier Bay Baptist Church, and Matthew 25 Ministry. She was a former a member of Burgaw Baptist Church. She was a member of the DAR.
Surviving are her son, Alan Tyree (Candy) of Ash; sisters, Brenda Russ (Phillip) of Ocean Isle Beach, Linda Lewis of Ash and Teresa Thompson (Terry) of Evergreen, NC; sister-in-laws, Betty Grainger, Nelda Thorsen, Gloria Hughes, and Jean Nofsinger; she was mema to Zack (Kristin), Kain, Cassie, Caleb (Mileena) and Coby; and great granddaughter, Isabella Marie.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 10, 2021, in the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel. The family will receive friends at noon prior to the service. Burial will be in Longwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
