Ralph LeMoyne Waters of Sunset Beach, NC passed away Monday, May 21, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born in Kingsville TX., growing up and working on the King Ranch. He received degrees in Engineering and Business from Texas A&I, A&M, U of Mississippi. He worked for URS, (New Orleans & Dallas,) Hazen and Sawyer, and Kimley-Horn (Charlotte) and established DiCon in 2001. During these years he served on the governor’s staff in Louisiana and New Mexico, headed the Pollution Control Commission for the state of Mississippi and EPA committee member, Washington, D.C.

Ralph the Man: As a successful and dedicated business and family man, licensed pilot, passionate golfer, and tennis player, accomplished trumpet and guitar player his life’s goal was : “To be remembered as a decent human being.”

He is preceded in death by his sons Kevin and Michael Waters of New Orleans and survived by wife, Garen Garvin Waters, daughters : Christy Waters, New Orleans, Megan Hammer and husband Christopher, Frisco, TX., Marlo Urban Fortville, IN, Grandchildren: Madison and Aiden Mullis of Fortville, IN and one great granddaughter.

A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 1PM in Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel.

In lieu of flower the family requests donations be made to First Tee of Brunswick Co., NC or the American Cancer Society.
