Richard D. Hamilton, 82, Carolina Shores, NC died August 7, 2022.
Born in Youngstown, OH on February 25, 1940, he was a son of the late George Earl Hamilton, Sr. and Tamson Cutsler Hamilton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, George Earl “Bud” Hamilton, Jr.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from General Motors Corporation. He was an avid golfer and former club champion and enjoyed woodcarving, having won numerous awards for his projects.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Greene Hamilton; sons, Greg Hamilton (Kathy), Canfield, OH, Tim Hamilton, Canfield, OH, Chris Hamilton, Austintown, OH, and John Andrew Shovel, III, Cortland, OH; daughter, Lisa Dunkel (Doug), Springfield, OH and Lissa Willis (Brad), Jefferson, OH; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
