Obituary
Robert Anthony “Bob” Eldridge, age 92, died Monday, August 21, 2023, at his home in St. James, surrounded by his family.
Bob was born in Chemung County, NY on August 7, 1931, to George Frederick and Gladys Elizabeth Tifft Eldridge. He was a Veteran of the US Army, a member of the American Legion Post 183 in Sidney, NY and retired as Director of Marketing and Sales with Amphenol Connectors Corp. in 1992. In retirement he continued to pursue other areas of interest, working with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in Wilmington, NC, and teaching OSHA safety classes. He remained active in several areas in his retirement years.
Left to cherish his memory are wife: Mary Jane Hinkley Eldridge; children: Laura Locus (Bill), Cathryn Eldridge, Gregg Eldridge (Lisa Morgan); grandchildren: Raya San Agustin, Shawn Locus, Alaina Locus, Dustin Eldridge, Thomas Eldridge, Stephanie Morgan, Steven Morgan, Alex Morgan; 10 great-grandchildren; and one cousin: Joyce Finch.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel, Southport, 3479 Southport Supply Road. The burial will be at a later date in New York.
