Mr. Robert Dean Lesko, of Calabash, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the age of 71. Bob was born to parents Robert O. Lesko and Cecilia D. Lesko on December 21, 1945 in Johnson City, NY. He grew up as the middle child of three and attended Maine-Endwell High School. In 1967, he entered the US Army and served his country in Vietnam. Later that year he married Marsha.

Bob was an avid golfer and was heavily involved in his community, frequently taking leadership roles in his local homeowners associations. He also enjoyed the water, relaxing on his boat or playing with his grandchildren in the community pool or at the beach. He worked most of his life in information technology and data management. He gained his early experience during his military service and ran his own business in the later part of his working life. He recently retired to spend more time golfing and traveling with his wife, Marsha, in their RV. They enjoyed time traveling out West, including a visit to his mom’s family land in Montana. They also enjoyed an excursion to Canada, summer vacations in New York, and wintering in Florida.

Bob is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Marsha; his daughter Tricia Crissman, her husband Michael and their two children, Kathryn and Robert; his son, Russell Lesko, his wife Jeannice, and their two sons Cameron and Christian; and his daughter, Nicole Perry, her husband Bradley and their two children Kayla and Carson. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held on Tuesday, February 7th at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC at 10am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor.
