He was born in Queens, NY on November 20, 1939, a son of the late George G. Cumberland and Hazel Rose Schaeffer Cumberland.
Surviving are his wife, Waltraud Cumberland; son, Johnnie Cumberland, New York, NY; daughter, Susan Fox-Bonavita, Babylon, NY; brother, George Cumberland, Holbrook, NY; sister, Janet Mitchell, Port St. Lucie, FL; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
