Obituary
Robert (Bobby) Correll Sr., 86, of Oak Island, passed peacefully Thursday, May 25th, 2023, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Davie County NC, September 26th, 1936, son of William and Annie Mae (Brown) Correll. He grew up in Rowan County, NC and relocated to Oak Island in 2005. He was a businessman and owned his own industrial sheet metal business in Statesville, NC. He loved restoring antique John Deere tractors and was a great mechanic and tinkerer. He enjoyed fishing and building and flying radio-controlled model airplanes and drones.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lois, his son Bob Jr. and wife Terri, two grandchildren Chris and wife Kim, Amanda and husband John, four great grandchildren Emmett, Owen, Jack, and James, brothers Bruce and Gerald (deceased).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bobby’s memory may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Oak Island, 4608 Oak Island Dr., Oak Island, NC 24865, where Bobby and Lois attended services.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Oak Island on July 2, 2023 at 2.00 PM
