Robert Torrey “Bob” Cook, age 85, of Bolivia, NC, died peacefully at his home on December 27, 2023. Bob was raised in Schenectady, NY, and lived in Cincinnati, OH for many years until retiring to North Carolina in 1999.

Bob graduated from Ursinus College in suburban Philadelphia with a business degree and worked in materials management and production control at GE, Warner & Swasey and Cincinnati Milacron. He was an avid golfer, part-time fisherman, and enjoyed reading and TV.

Son of the late Willard & Leta Cook, he is survived by his wife of 61 years Ann (Wirsing) Cook, his daughter, Karen Lahr and sons, James, Michael & Douglas Cook. Bob was blessed with 13 grandchildren (Scott, Jake, Caleb, Glenn, Delaney, Mackenzie, Katie, Hayden, Maura, Mallory, Miriam, Michaela & Luken) and 3 great-grandchildren (Lily-Grace, Owen & Mylah). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother David Cook.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Trinity UMC in Southport, NC.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the dedicated caregivers and medical professionals from Amedisys for their compassionate hospice care during Bob’s final days.
