Obituary
Robert Wayne Evans, 79, of Ash, NC, died March 1, 2024. Born in Bladen County, NC, on June 22, 1944, he was a son of the late Claude Dewey Evans and Sarah Hilton Evans. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Elise Ruth Evans and a brother, William “Billy” Evans.
He was a residential and commercial carpenter and former member of the NC National Guard.
Surviving are his son, John W. “Johnny” Evans (Karen); daughter, Pamela E. Winders (Tim); brothers, Harold Ray Evans (Connie) and Randy Evans (Rhonda); sister, Debra Kotoris; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2024, in Soldier Bay Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times from the home of Johnny Evans.
