Robert William Sanders, 87, of Carolina Shores, passes away on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
He was born on June 22, 1929 in Queens, NY to the late Charles and Regina Sanders. Robert is also predeceased by a son, Dean Sanders; and a daughter, Katherine Sanders.
Robert was a master gardener and accomplished carpenter and builder, He was very good at sports and enjoyed coaching soccer. He loved to travel and take his children camping. He had a great admiration for of ancient Egypt. His wicked sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Left to carry his memory is his loving wife Joan; a son, Robert Sanders Jr. of Syosset NY; and a daughter, Alicia Sanders of San Diego, CA; a sister, Martha Allen of New Jersey; and three grandchildren, William, Nick, and John.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10am in St. Brendan the Navigator Roman Catholic Church, Shallotte, NC.
