Obituary
Rodney Lee Spencer, 65, was found deceased in his Calabash home on May 19, 2025.
Rodney was born March 26, 1960 in Durand, MI to Ace and Sharon( Trenamen) Spencer. When he was ten years old, he started helping on his grandpa's farm. He graduated from Corunna High School in 1978. After working at GM, he joined the Army where he was stationed from 1982-86 at Fort Bragg, in 1991 at Fort Carson and from 1997-2000 at Fort Campbell where he retired as a Sgt (E-5). Serving his country was always his dream. After retiring he liked to travel, fish, camp, and serve at church especially with the teen youth and singing.
He is survived by his son Shane and daughter Erica, along with his grandchildren, brother, Rocky Spencer and sister, Teresa (Skip) Osteyee, in addition to nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
