Obituary
Ronald William Otten, 85, of Sunset Beach passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017. He was born in Paterson, NJ on July 4, 1932. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from Kearfott Corporation in 1993 as a Manager in Reliability Engineering. Ron also played minor league baseball for the Boston Braves.
His brohter Edward Otten, wife Joy Jacqueline Otten and son Rand Keith Otten preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Ann Martin Otten, son, Brad Ronald Otten (Linda), daughter, Joy Lynn Cassinelli (Scott). Stepsons, Eric James Martin (Debby), and David Matthew Martin (Tracy); stepdaughters, Teri Lynn Block (Fred), Michelle Ann Lucas (Rod); and 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 am, Tuesday September 5, at the Pink Palace in Sea Trail Plantation, Sunset Beach.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center, 1414 Physicians Dr. Wilmington, NC 28401
