Rosalie Ann Heath
Obituary
Rosalie Ann (Maziarz) Heath, 81, of Calabash, NC, passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Rosalie’s life was defined by compassion, dedication, and joy. She graduated from Notre Dame High School, St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, and Trenton State College, going on to serve as both a nurse and an educator at St. Francis Hospital before starting her family. She later returned to nursing at Divine Word Seminary in Bordentown, NJ, and devoted 23 years to caring for students with the Hamilton Township Board of Education.
In 2007, Rosalie and her beloved husband of 53 years, George Heath, retired to Calabash, where she embraced the sun and surf of the Carolina coast. She loved golfing and playing cards, filling her kitchen with the smells of her delicious cooking and baking, and sharing her time and talents through service. She was a proud member of the Columbiettes Auxiliary Our Lady of the Rosary and joyfully managed the gift kiosk at St. Brendan the Navigator Church in Shallotte, NC.
Rosalie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Borkowski) Maziarz. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Heath of Calabash, NC; her son, Brian Heath of Frankfurt, Germany; her sister, Barbara (Maziarz) Rutecki of Milton, DE; and many cherished extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George and her brother Joseph Maziarz of Wimberley, TX.
Rosalie’s legacy is one of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. She was the best mother and friend anyone could ask for, and her absence leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel, 5229 Ocean Highway West, with a memorial service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be sent to World Central Kitchen (wck.org) or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrf.org).
