Rosemary O'Reilly

Our sweet Rosey went to be with the lord on December 24th 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  Rosey was known for her vibrant personality and her gift of sharing love with everyone she met.  She had a zest for life and brightened the lives of all who knew her.

She has now been reunited in heaven with her husband Thomas P. O’Reilly, the love of her life.

Since moving from New York 20 years ago, Rosey has been an active member of St. Brendans Catholic Church in Shallotte, NC.  In retirement she sang with two of their choirs, that brought so much joy to her life.  She was a member of the Calabash BPOE Elks lodge No. 2679 and an active volunteer in their community.  Rosey was instrumental in coordinating the “Bronx Reunion” down south with childhood friends.

Rosey was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Alice Comiskey, and her brother Daniel Comiskey.  She was survived by her loving four children Alice O’Reilly Peebles and husband Cary of Rock Hill, SC., John P. O’Reilly and wife Sharon of Suffern, NY., Andy T. O’Reilly and wife Brooke of Ballston Spa, NY., and Rosey Doganieri and husband Robert of Charlotte, NC.; one brother Harry Comiskey; 12 grandchildren Casey and Alex (Kristen) Peebles, Joseph, Olivia, Jenna Rose and Thomas O’Reilly, Owen, Grace, and Molly O’Reilly, Ian (Delaney) Graham, Jack and Maggie Shea Doganieri, one great grandchild Braxton Graham.
