Obituary
Sally Guest Danker, 83, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017.
Born in Ohio on September 19, 1933, the daughter of the late Brigadier General Wesley Tate Guest and Annie Hamilton Guest. She is predeceased by husband George B. Danker.
Beloved Mother of son, George B. Danker Jr (Karen) of Chesapeake, VA; daughters, Laurie Babson (Toby) of Ash, NC, Lynne Boggs (Dan) of Farmville, VA. Beloved grandmother of eight grandchildren and beloved great grandmother of five great-grandchildren; and cousin to Penny Strandberg and Andy Hamilton.
Sally graduated from Fairfax Hall High School in 1951 and she was an Alumni of Mount Vernon College. Among her many endeavors she was a secretary with Ford, co-owner of Danker’s Restaurant in Washington, DC, self-employed typesetter, and cherished nanny. She was also an accomplished bowler and avid animal lover – especially elephants! She never met a stranger and she blessed all those she came in contact with. She took many under her wing whom considered her Mom #2.
A memorial service will be held at Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel at 5229 Ocean Highway Shallotte, NC 28459 on Monday, April 24 at 1:00pm.
A private inurnment will take place at Northwood Cemetery in Southport, NC at a later date.
