Sam Cochran, 78, of Calabash, N.C. died Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

Born in Charleston, S.C. on August 25, 1940, he was the son of late Demal and St. Clair Cochran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Robert Cochran.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Glenn Cochran of Calabash, N.C., a daughter Jennifer Cochran Oakes (Greg) of Shallotte, N.C., a son Anthony Cochran (Joellyn) of Leland, N.C. and his beloved granddaughters, Taylor and Ashley Oakes of Shallotte, N.C.

Sam was employed as a district manager for Morton Salt International until his retirement. After retirement, he was employed at Crow Creek in Calabash, N.C.

He enjoyed golfing with friends and never met a stranger. Sam loved his family and the communities that he resided in Greensboro, N.C. and Calabash, N.C.

A service will be held at Brunswick Funeral Service on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will follow the service at the Crow Creek Clubhouse at 490 S Crow Creek Dr, Calabash, NC 28467
