Samuel Chase Hooks, 67, of Whiteville, NC died April 1, 2020.
Born in Columbus County, NC on April 28, 1952, he was a son of the late John Delmas Hooks and Annie Mae Batten Hooks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Johnny Hooks.
He was a member of Western Prong Baptist Church, a lifetime member of the Wildlife Action, and was involved in several community organizations.
Surviving are two nephews, John and Phillip Hooks.
Due to present health concerns, a graveside service will be held in the Western Prong Baptist Church Cemetery at a date to be announced.
