Obituary
Samuel Kenneth Grissett, 77, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC died July 21, 2023.
Born in Brunswick County, NC on October 13, 1945 the son of the late Samuel Dewey Grissett and Geneva Ludlum Grissett. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother, O’Neal Grissett and sisters, Evelyn Batson and Rutha Lee Phelps.
He was a 1964 graduate of Shallotte High School and a member of the Grissettown-Longwood Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Frances Ludlum Grissett; son, Tal Grissett (Tammy) and daughter, Amber Grissett Taylor all from Ocean Isle Beach, NC; two sisters, Selene Robinson of Supply, NC and Judy Blanton of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren, Brennan, Ashton, Madison and Michaela and great grandchild Mason.
Funeral Service will be conducted Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Old Shallotte Baptist Church where he was a member for 66 years. Burial will follow in Mintz Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial may be directed to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice “Brunswick House”, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401
