Obituary
Sandra Eleanor Oakley, 81, of Sunset Beach passed away April 12, 2022. She was born in Graham, North Carolina on August 3, 1940 to Beatrice Williams Hamby and Francis Ferdinard Hamby.
She created many enduring friendships with her authentic warmth and loyalty. Her love for people was exemplified through her care and compassion for others, and nothing brought her more joy than her family. She was a retired restaurant manager, and a fabulous cook.
Surviving are her daughter, Laurie Oakley of Greensboro; sons, Roger Dale Oakley (Beth) of Haw River, and Darrin Oakley (Melissa) of Supply; grandchildren, Shane, Stephanie, Blake, Parker, and Jaxon; and great grandchild, Juniper.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 15, 2022, at Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte Chapel, by The Rev. Henry Rehder. Interment will be in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, NC, at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 16, 2022.
