Obituary
Shelia Anne Leyden Gavin, age 84 of St. James, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
She was born on January 10, 1940, in Athens, GA to Thomas and Anne Rudden Leyden.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Gavin; son: Tom Gavin of Tampa, FL; daughter: Megan Gavin (Katherine) of Cary, NC; sons: Scott Aversano (Alexa) of Brentwood, CA; Sean Aversano (Lisa) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren: Grace, Lucy, Emma, Zach, Natalie, Erin, Finn, Dash, Rex, Will, John and Katherine; one sister: Sharon Leyden of Ewing Township, NJ and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Brunswick Funeral Service, 3479 Southport-Supply Road, Bolivia, NC. The Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Henry Rehder officiating.
