Obituary
Stephanie Ann (Bishop) Banjak, aged 44, of Ocean Isle Beach, NC, passed away on January 3, 2025 at Life Care Hospice in Bolivia, NC. She was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Stephanie was born on June 22, 1980 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to George William Bishop Jr. and Frances Marie (Bouchard) Bishop of Surfside Beach, SC. She was a survivor of childhood leukemia, a Make-A-Wish recipient and participated in The Relay for Life events along the Grand Strand. She graduated from Socastee High School in 1998. She went on to attend Horry Georgetown Technical College where she received an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development. She immediately began working at Belin Child Development Center in the toddler room. In 2007, She married her husband, Andrew Banjak and moved to Ocean Isle, NC. She worked at Lowes Foods as a Scan Analyst for the last 17 years. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. In her free time she enjoyed collecting knick-knacks, watching Patriots football, taking Jacob on trips with her friend Jessica Inman and camping with family.
Stephanie is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Andrew James Banjak Jr. and her son, Andrew Jacob Banjak of Ocean Isle, NC; Her parents, George and Frances Bishop of Surfside Beach, SC; Mother and Father in-law Gary and Gerri Campbell of Myrtle Beach, SC; Her siblings, Lisa Argabrite Melchione (Jason)of Murrells Inlet, SC, Delina Marie Owens (Justin)of Murrells Inlet, SC and George William Bishop III (Jessica)of Myrtle Beach, SC; and her nieces and nephews, Whitney Argabrite, Mason Owens , George Miller Bishop, Troy Owens, Abigail Melchione, Maxwell Bishop and Sydney Bishop. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father in-law, Andrew James Banjak Sr and her brother in-law, Michael Scott Argabrite.
Cremation Services performed by Brunswick Funeral Service, 5229 Ocean Highway West Shallotte, North Carolina.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 1:00pm at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, 11528 Frontage Rd, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Visitation with family will be immediately following the service in the reception room.
